Position: Network Administrator
Supervisor: IT Director
Position Summary: The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the computer networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
Duties:
o Perform network design and capacity planning
o Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
o Installs and maintains network file servers and network operating systems; ensures that backup copies of all files are routinely made and securely stored at separate locations; maintains system documentation.
o Provides second level technical support to users concerning network system operations.
o Diagnoses problems with network equipment and performs equipment repairs or upgrades when appropriate.
o Installs, configures, and maintains multi-user software to be accessed from file servers.
o Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
o Installs, configures, and maintains network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS.
o Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices
o Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
o Works in close cooperation with Systems Analyst and Lead Information Technology Technician to facilitate management of computer labs, installing any software needed for each semester and/or special seminars.
o Orders software, hardware, and other supplies as required for the institutional computer network, personal computers, and computer labs.
o Works with System Administrator and Director of Institutional Services in planning, installation, and documentation of network topology and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
o Assists System Administrator with maintenance of VOIP phone system.
- Maintains excellent grooming habits and personal conduct according to
Twin Pine Casino & Hotel standards.
o Perform other duties as may be required by the position, or as directed by Supervisor.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, standing, indoors and outdoors, and ability to lift 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Network + Certificate and/or 2 years of production network switching and routing experience.
Must pass a background investigation conducted by the Middletown Rancheria Tribal Gaming Regulatory Agency and pass pre-employment drug test, and finger printing. Must be available to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must have the ability to fulfill work schedules routinely and punctually.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
