eNGINE is hiring for a Senior Cloud Engineer who thrives in AWS and Azure environments and brings strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code—specifically Terraform. Most of our cloud migration work is complete; the focus now is modernization, optimization, and automation across our cloud ecosystem.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Cloud Architect, contribute ideas, influence direction, and operate with the independence expected of a senior-level engineer. What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and enhance cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure, with some exposure to M365 services.
- Use Terraform and other IaC tools to create scalable, repeatable, automated cloud environments.
- Drive cloud modernization efforts now that lift-and-shift is largely complete.
- Contribute to our DevSecOps ecosystem using GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD best practices.
- Develop and refine security-focused KPIs and metrics to track operational health and maturity.
- Collaborate with the Architect and broader engineering teams to propose new ideas, challenge assumptions, and influence modernization strategy.
- Support secure cloud design, architecture reviews, and automation improvements.
- Operate autonomously—owning workstreams, solving problems proactively, and requiring minimal hand-holding.
- Stay current on cloud capabilities, security trends, and modernization techniques.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud security engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, and Terraform (required).
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and modern cloud deployment practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and secure cloud design.
- Familiarity with regulatory or highly controlled environments (e.g., banking, financial services) is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills—able to contribute confidently in meetings and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to take initiative, solve problems independently, and make measurable contributions without constant oversight.
- Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Security+, CISSP, etc.) are a plus, but not required.
